Hello world!

MULTIPLE ANGLES

The banner photos on this blog are the perfect example of the different angles that you get with a second shooter, which is the main benefit. In those photos, I was in the aisle for the kiss and the exit from the ceremony, while Christiana was off on the side in the front row. This two photos are taken at the exact same time, of the exact same moment, just from different point of views. Now take this and apply it to every moment through out the day: you walking down the aisle from the front, and from behind. Shots of you both giving your vows, and photos of your family reacting to those moments. The list can go on and on, but you get the idea. Having two photographers allows for a more wholistic story to be told, and the second photographer helps will in the gaps that the main photographer may not see!

LESS MOVING PARTS

This may seem like an oxymoron. How can having two photographers mean less moving pieces? Let me tell you. When I shoot weddings solo, it means a lot more running from place to place. Going from the bridal suite, to the groom, and then hustling back to get your mom zipping up your dress. It is doable, and we've each done it many times, but when there is a second photographer, they will be with the groom, while the main is with you! That translates to other parts of the day as well. It means that there is less movement as your guests are trying to focus on you two up at the altar, or during your first dance. It also means less stress for you because one photographer will ALWAYS be with you, and you don't have to send someone off to look for them. Less stress, less movement = a smoother day!

BUT I WANT TO SAVE MONEY!

Honestly, we totally get it. Weddings can be expensive, and you want to save money where you can. But you also want a second photographer. What do you do? Well, you have some options. You can hire a second shooter for just a couple of hours, like for first looks through the end of the ceremony, to get those extra angles, but not have to pay for a whole day. This is something that we've utilized before, and it can work well. Most photographers have a minimum number of hours, however, so it can depend on the photographer.
Your second option is to hire us! As a husband and wife team, that means you automatically get a second shooter! If you book us, 95% of the time, you'll get both of us built into your package without having to pay for anything extra!
